Litha, or Summer Solstice, is tomorrow and while I could rattle off history or lore for you, I’d rather tell you what it means to me. Solstices are usually considered to be culminations of something, or transitions from one thing to another. This year, this solstice for me is the transition from a lot of stress and worry to relief and hope for the future. My husband and I have had a lot of stresses especially in the last few months and in the last few days it has slowly started to get that ‘breaking’ feeling. You know what I mean, the feeling in the air before the weather shifts, that change that you can’t quite explain but that you feel in every atom in your being. So, for me, tomorrow will be a celebration of the release of tension and worry and the moving forward towards hopes, dreams, and goals.

What does this year’s Litha mean for you? Whatever it is and however you choose to celebrate, I hope it’s a blessed and joyous one! I think some bottle rockets will be involved in mine! 😉 Also, keep your eyes on the sky over the nights this weekend as we have a supermoon to look forward to, as well!
